Top Reference Apps on iOS in Germany: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top reference apps on the iOS platform in Germany showcased varied performance metrics. According to data from Sensor Tower, several apps stood out in terms of downloads and active user engagement.

Google Translate maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 20.5K in mid-May. Its active user base fluctuated slightly, starting at approximately 2.95M and experiencing minor dips and rises, concluding the quarter at about 2.82M.

DeepL Translate saw a moderate download trend, beginning the quarter with 16K and gradually decreasing to 11.7K by the end. Active users hovered around 1M, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter near 1.02M.

Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab exhibited an upward trend in downloads, reaching a peak of 9.4K in late April. Active users showed significant growth, starting at 50K and more than doubling to 88K by quarter's end.

CoinSnap: Coin Identifier experienced a notable decrease in weekly revenue, starting at $10.5K and dropping to $8.3K by the end of June. Downloads showed a similar decline, though there was a recovery towards the end, reaching 7.4K.

Finally, CoinIn: Coin Scan Identifier had modest revenue growth, with a slight increase from $2.6K to $4.2K over the quarter. Downloads peaked at 10.5K in early May but tapered off towards the end of the quarter.
